The Alumnae Association of St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing, New York City was founded in the early 1900's and remains active today. The School of Nursing was opened in October, 1892 and closed in 1999, graduating a total of approximately 5750 nurses. Membership in the Alumnae Association is open to any graduate of the school regardless of ability to pay dues.
The Association meets 4 times a year, in January, May, September and November. The meetings are mainly social and educational with the November meeting being our annual luncheon. The Golden and Silver Jubilarians are honored at the luncheon. Dues for membership are $35 a year. At the present time, we have over 2270 names and addresses on file.
All meetings are tentatively scheduled to be held at the Convent of the Sister's of Charity, 20 Washington Square North, NYC. (Ground floor) Check your meeting announcement for any changes.
